Revolut has become one of the UK's most popular fintech platforms thanks to its app, multi-currency accounts and fee-free FX on weekdays. From international spending to budgeting tools and stocks, millions of people have signed up. If you are planning to open a Revolut account, using my referral link below means you and I both benefit from the current rolling referral programme.
My Revolut Referral Code (September 2026)
Code: michaej0m0!SEP1-26-AR-H3
Click here to claim the Revolut sign-up bonus via my referral link
This is a dated campaign code and it expires on 15 September 2026. I am telling you that up front rather than leaving you to find out at the checkout. Revolut issues these on short windows and rotates them roughly monthly, so the code above is only the live one until that date. Verified 27 August 2026.
Opening a Revolut Business account instead? That is a separate campaign from the personal code above, on its own shorter window, closing 16 September 2026. Use my Revolut Business link.
Read this part before you use it, because it works differently from the personal one. Revolut's business referral terms state that it is "a one-sided campaign, where only the Referrer (not the Referee or Business) can be awarded the Reward". So the £200 is paid to me, and you get nothing for it. Open a Revolut Business account through my link because you want the account, not because you are expecting a bonus, and if a sign-up bonus is what you are after then Monzo Business pays you £50 or Tide pays you £100. To qualify me for the £200 the new business has to sign up through the link, top up from an external bank, meet the campaign's minimum spend (three card purchases of at least £10 on the current one) and order a physical card, which is the step most people miss. Revolut caps it at five referred businesses per promotion period, and it says the amount is set per referrer in the in-app invite, so £200 is my rate rather than a universal figure.
The exact new-customer bonus is shown on the Revolut rewards screen when you click through, Revolut does not state it on my side. The current campaign pays me £80 per qualifying friend, capped at 10 rewarded invites, and ends 15 September 2026.
Reading this after 15 September 2026?
Then the code above has expired and the link will not apply a bonus. Until that date, michaej0m0!SEP1-26-AR-H3 is still the live personal campaign. Nothing has gone wrong if you arrive after expiry, that is just how Revolut rotates these windows. What does not change is the programme itself and the qualifying actions, which are set out below and have been the same for months.
Two things worth knowing if you have landed here late. Revolut always shows the live new-customer offer on its own rewards screen once you start a sign-up, so that screen is the truth rather than any code printed on a page like this one. And if you already know somebody with a Revolut account, ask them for their current invite from the app, because a referral only pays out when it is attached at sign-up and cannot be added retrospectively.
How to claim the Revolut sign-up bonus
- Click the referral link above (or enter code
michaej0m0!SEP1-26-AR-H3when prompted). - Download the Revolut app and sign up with your email and personal details. You must be a new Revolut customer.
- Verify your identity with a photo ID and short video selfie. Approval is usually instant.
- Add money to your account by debit card or bank transfer.
- Make at least 3 card purchases of £5 or more. Gambling, gift cards, ATM withdrawals and transfers between accounts do not count.
- Order a physical Revolut card.
- Complete all of the above within the campaign window shown on the rewards screen (typically 30 days from sign-up).
The bonus is usually credited within 5 working days of completing the qualifying actions.
How the referral scheme works
Revolut runs rolling referral promotions year-round, with the window running to 15 September 2026 paying the referrer £80 for each qualifying new account, capped at 10 rewarded invites per period. The new-customer bonus shown on the in-app rewards screen varies by campaign and country, so always check the live offer when you click through.
Who is the offer for?
The referral programme is open to UK residents who are new to Revolut, aged 18 or over, and able to pass identity verification. You cannot claim it if you have held a Revolut account before. The referrer side of the programme is capped at 10 rewarded invites per period: you can refer multiple friends and earn the £80 bonus for each one who qualifies, up to that cap.
If you click the link and the live bonus is not what you expected, that is usually because the campaign in your country has recently rotated. Check the Revolut rewards screen in the app for the current live rate.
Why Revolut is worth trying
Beyond the referral bonus, there are practical reasons to keep a Revolut account in the mix:
- Multi-currency accounts. Hold balances in GBP, EUR, USD, and 25+ other currencies. Useful for freelancers and anyone with foreign suppliers or family.
- Interbank exchange rates on weekdays. Up to the monthly free FX limit on your plan, the conversion is at the mid-market rate with no markup.
- Budgeting and analytics. Spending categories, monthly budgets, and instant notifications on every transaction.
- Stocks, crypto, commodities in-app, with fractional shares and a clean UX.
- Travel features. Travel insurance and airport lounge access on paid plans.
For freelancers and businesses, Revolut Business accounts add multi-currency IBANs, expense management and invoicing. They are a useful complement to a UK business account like Tide or Monzo Business.
Revolut Plans: Which One Should You Choose?
Revolut offers six plan tiers in the UK. You do not need to upgrade to claim the sign-up bonus, the Standard plan qualifies, but the higher tiers have very different value:
| Plan | Monthly fee | Key features |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | Free | Free GBP card, £200/month free FX, 5 free ATM withdrawals/month |
| Plus | £3.99 | Higher FX limits, purchase protection, priority support |
| Premium | £7.99 | £400/month free FX, no ATM fee, unlimited free transfers, travel insurance |
| Metal | £14.99 | Metal card, higher cashback, lounge passes, full travel cover |
| Ultra | £55/month | Premium subscriptions bundled (WeWork, Tinder Gold, NordVPN, Financial Times) |
| Revolut Business | From £19/month | Multi-currency IBANs, expense management, invoicing |
For most UK customers, Standard or Premium covers everything you need. Metal and Ultra only pay off if you specifically use the bundled subscriptions or fly internationally enough to earn back the lounge access cost.
Revolut vs Monzo vs Wise
| Feature | Revolut | Monzo | Wise |

| Free GBP current account | Yes | Yes | No (e-money only) |
| Free EUR/USD account | Yes | No | Yes |
| Real exchange rate (no markup) | Yes on weekdays | Mastercard rate | Yes always |
| Free overseas spending | £200/month | Unlimited | Variable fee |
| FSCS protection | Yes, up to £120,000 (UK bank) | Yes up to £120,000 | No (e-money safeguarded) |

| Stocks and crypto in-app | Yes | No | No |
| Sign-up bonus available | Rolling referral programme | £10 personal, £50 business | Free card / £500 fee-free |
In practice most UK customers I recommend Revolut to use it alongside Monzo: Monzo as the main current account, Revolut for the multi-currency travel and investing card. Both are now FSCS-protected UK banks, so eligible deposits in either are covered up to £120,000. The referral bonus makes opening one a no-cost move for the person you refer. Common Reasons the Revolut Bonus Does Not Pay Out
Most missed bonuses fall into one of four causes:
- Campaign window expired before all actions were completed. Check the countdown shown on the Revolut rewards screen when you sign up. All qualifying actions must be completed within that window.
- Identity verification rejected. Make sure your photo ID is clearly readable and that your selfie matches. A rejected verification pauses the bonus.
- Fewer than 3 qualifying card purchases of £5 or more. A failed transaction, a refund, a £4.99 purchase, an ATM withdrawal, a transfer or a gambling transaction does not count.
- Promotion not active in your country at the time of sign-up. The live rate in your country is always shown on the rewards screen when you click through.
If you complete every step and the bonus still does not appear, contact Revolut support inside the app. They have a referral-bonus team and can usually resolve issues within 48 hours.
How I Actually Use Revolut
I keep a Revolut account for two specific jobs. First, any purchase in a non-GBP currency goes on Revolut because the weekday mid-market rate beats my main bank every time. Second, I use the stocks feature for fractional US shares when I want to invest small amounts without paying a separate platform fee. For serious tax-free investing I use my AJ Bell Stocks and shares ISA instead, where there is a £100 Amazon voucher on offer for new customers.
I use Monzo for day-to-day UK banking (salary, direct debits, main current account) and Wise when I need to send money internationally without monthly limits. Revolut fills the gap between the two: better FX than Monzo, better for routine spending than Wise, and a decent investment tool built in. If you are self-employed and want a complementary business account, see my Tide referral guide for £100 with code JJ2WDY.
Final Thoughts
The Revolut rolling referral programme is one of the more consistent sign-up bonuses in UK fintech: the requirements are clear, the process is fast, and the app makes it easy to track progress. If you are opening a Revolut account anyway, using my referral link costs you nothing and earns us both something.
