Looking for an AJ Bell referral code that actually gives you £100? You are in the right place, with one honest catch I will explain in a second.
I have held my AJ Bell Stocks and shares ISA for around six to seven years, so this is not a review written from the outside. I use the platform every month and I refer friends to it, which is exactly how this offer works.
Open and fund an eligible AJ Bell account through my referral link below and you and I each get a £100 Amazon.co.uk gift card.
🎁 My AJ Bell Referral Link
There is no code to type. Just use this link:
👉 Click here to open AJ Bell with the £100 Amazon voucher offer applied
You need to open a SIPP, Stocks and shares ISA, Lifetime ISA or Dealing account and fund a combined £10,000 within 120 days. The value of investments can go down as well as up.
Is There an AJ Bell Promo Code or Discount Code?
Short answer: no. A lot of people search for an "AJ Bell promo code", "AJ Bell coupon code" or "AJ Bell discount code", so let me clear it up.
AJ Bell does not run a code-based promotion. There is nothing to paste into a box at checkout, because you are not buying anything, you are opening an investment account. What AJ Bell does run is a refer-a-friend offer, and it works through a personal link rather than a code.
So when a coupon site shows you an "AJ Bell voucher code", what they are really giving you is a referral link like mine. Using my link is the honest version of the same thing, and it pays a real £100 Amazon voucher to both of us once you fund the account.
AJ Bell Offers and Cashback: What Is Available
People search for "AJ Bell offers" and "AJ Bell cashback" expecting a voucher code or a cashback-site listing. Here is the straight position.
There is no code. AJ Bell does not run code-based promotions, so there is nothing to paste into a box.
Cashback is the wrong word for this one. Cashback pays you back a slice of money you have spent. You are not spending anything with AJ Bell, you are moving your own money into an account that stays yours. So the reward arrives as a £100 Amazon.co.uk gift card through refer-a-friend instead, once £10,000 has landed in the account.
AJ Bell's own offers page is the source of truth for anything else it happens to be running, transfer offers included. It is worth two minutes before you open an account: AJ Bell refer a friend and offers.
If what you want is genuine cashback on everyday spending, that is a different job and a different tool. I use TopCashback for that, and it has nothing to do with investing.
Are You Joining AJ Bell, or Referring a Friend to It?
Both sides of this offer pay £100 and the search results mix them up constantly, so here is the split.
| What you want to do | What you need | Where to go |
|---|---|---|
| Open your first AJ Bell account and claim £100 | My referral link, then £10,000 funded within 120 days | Use my link, then follow the steps below |
| Refer a friend, because you already hold an AJ Bell account | Your own referral link from AJ Bell | How to refer a friend to AJ Bell |
| Compare AJ Bell with other platforms before you commit | Fees and features side by side | Best stocks and shares ISA UK |
The rest of this page is written for the joining side, because that is the bigger half. The referring side has its own section further down.
What Is AJ Bell?
AJ Bell is one of the UK's largest and longest-running investment platforms. It is a FTSE 250 company that has been going since 1995 and now looks after billions of pounds for hundreds of thousands of UK investors.
In plain terms, it is a place to hold and manage your investments. You open an account, pay money in, and buy funds, shares, investment trusts and ETFs inside it. The main account types are:
- Stocks and shares ISA for tax-free investing up to your annual ISA allowance
- SIPP (Self-Invested Personal Pension) for retirement saving with tax relief on contributions
- Lifetime ISA for first-home savers and retirement, with a government bonus
- Dealing account for general investing outside a tax wrapper
It is worth being clear about one thing early. AJ Bell is an investment platform, not a savings account. The value of what you hold can fall as well as rise, and you can get back less than you put in. The £100 voucher is a nice extra, it is not a reason to invest money you cannot afford to have at risk.
Who Is the £100 AJ Bell Offer For?
This offer suits you if you are:
- Opening your first ISA or pension and planning to pay in at least £10,000 over the first few months
- Moving an existing ISA or pension to a cheaper or simpler platform, since transfers count towards the £10,000
- A UK resident aged 18 or over who has not held an AJ Bell account in the last 12 months
- Comfortable investing for the medium to long term and happy that your capital is at risk
It is not for you if you only want to park a few hundred pounds, or if you are not ready to have money invested in the market. The £10,000 funding bar is real, so be honest with yourself about whether this fits your plans before you chase the voucher.
How to Claim the £100 AJ Bell Referral Bonus
- Click my referral link: open AJ Bell here
- Enter your name and email so AJ Bell attaches the referral to your sign-up. There is no code to type
- Open an eligible account, a SIPP, Stocks and shares ISA, Lifetime ISA or Dealing account
- Complete the application, you need to be a UK resident aged 18 or over, and you verify your identity as part of the process
- Fund a combined £10,000 within 120 days using new money, ISA subscriptions or a transfer of an existing ISA or pension
- Receive £100, AJ Bell emails a £100 Amazon.co.uk gift card to both of us, usually within about 30 days of the funding requirement being met
The Qualifying Conditions in Plain English
The offer has a few rules and I would rather you know them up front than be disappointed later. As of August 2026:
- The account must be new, and you must not have held an AJ Bell account in the last 12 months
- You must fund a combined £10,000 or more within 120 days of opening the account
- Funding can be contributions, ISA subscriptions or transfers from an existing ISA or pension
- Both you and I must still be AJ Bell customers at the point the voucher is sent
- AJ Bell can reclaim the voucher if you close the account or withdraw most of the money within 12 months of claiming
- You must be a UK resident aged 18 or over
AJ Bell can change or withdraw these terms at any time, so read AJ Bell's own refer-a-friend page before you commit money. Do not move an old pension across just for a voucher without checking you are not giving up valuable benefits or paying an exit penalty.
How to Refer a Friend to AJ Bell
If you already hold an AJ Bell account, you are on the other side of this offer, and it pays you the same £100. This is the half I am on, and it is the reason the link at the top of this page exists at all.
The mechanics:
- Get your own referral link. It comes from AJ Bell's refer-a-friend page once you are signed in. It is a personal link, not a code
- Send it to someone who is opening an account anyway. The £10,000 funding bar means this only works for people genuinely starting an ISA properly or moving a pension across, so there is no value in spraying it around
- They open an eligible account through your link, so a SIPP, Stocks and shares ISA, Lifetime ISA or Dealing account
- They fund a combined £10,000 within 120 days, from new money, ISA subscriptions or a transfer
- You both get £100 as an Amazon.co.uk gift card by email, usually within about 30 days of the funding requirement being met
Two things worth knowing before you start sending your link out:
- You both have to still be AJ Bell customers when the voucher is sent. If either of you has closed the account by then, it does not pay
- Read AJ Bell's own refer-a-friend terms for the current amounts and for any cap on how many referrals it will pay you for. AJ Bell sets those and can change them, so I am not going to put a number here that might be out of date by the time you read it
Being straight about it: I earn £100 when someone opens and funds an account through my link, which is exactly what you would be doing with yours. I say so at the top of this page and again in the FAQs, because a referral offer only works if both people know how it pays.
AJ Bell Fees at a Glance
| Charge | AJ Bell (ISA), as of August 2026 |
|---|---|
| Platform fee on funds | 0.25% a year |
| Platform fee on shares, trusts and ETFs | 0.25% a year, capped at £3.50 a month in an ISA |
| Share dealing | £5 per deal |
| Fund dealing | £1.50 per deal |
| Account opening | Free |
Fees change over time, so AJ Bell's charges and rates page is the source of truth before you invest. For most people holding funds and a handful of shares in an ISA, AJ Bell sits in the middle of the market on cost: cheaper than the biggest full-service rivals, a little dearer than the bare-bones free apps.
AJ Bell vs Other UK Investment Platforms
| Platform | Platform fee (funds) | Individual shares? | Sign-up incentive |
|---|---|---|---|
| AJ Bell | 0.25% | Yes | £100 Amazon voucher via referral (£10k funding) |
| Hargreaves Lansdown | 0.45% | Yes | Occasional transfer cashback |
| Vanguard | 0.15% | Vanguard funds and ETFs only | None |
| Trading 212 | Free | Yes | Fractional free share |
| InvestEngine | Free (DIY) | ETFs only | Occasional welcome bonus |
The cheaper apps like Trading 212 and InvestEngine win on headline cost, but they are more limited in what you can hold and the support is app-only. Hargreaves Lansdown is the closest full-service rival to AJ Bell and charges more on funds. Vanguard is cheap but you are stuck inside its own range. For me, AJ Bell hits the balance of low-enough fees, a full choice of shares and funds, and support I can actually phone. Fees and offers for every provider change, so check each one's current charges page.
How I Actually Use AJ Bell
I have had my AJ Bell Stocks and shares ISA for around six to seven years, so this is genuinely my own money on the platform, not a test account.
What I like:
- The mobile app is clear and simple. Buying and selling shares takes seconds, and I never have to hunt around to find what I need. It does the job without getting in the way
- The telephone support is the best I have used anywhere, full stop. Any time I call, I am through to a real human in what feels like under 30 seconds. No long hold music, no endless menus. For something as important as my ISA and pension, that matters more to me than shaving a few basis points off the fee
- The bulk of my ISA is in a low-cost S&P 500 tracker, with a few individual shares alongside it like SanDisk. Both are easy to buy and manage in the same account
- Withdrawing from the ISA has always been straightforward. I have taken money out before and it was quick and painless, which is not something you can say about every platform
- Buying and selling works just as well over the phone as it does in the app, so if I ever want to talk it through with a person, I can
What is worth knowing:
- My one real gripe is the minimum investment amount when you buy by cash value. If you buy a share by typing in an amount of money rather than a number of shares, the app does not always tell you the minimum you need for that particular stock. So you can enter an amount, be told it is too low, and end up nudging it up bit by bit until the order goes through. It is a small thing, but it is the one part of the app that annoys me
- AJ Bell is not the cheapest option if all you want is a simple ETF portfolio. The free apps undercut it on headline fees, though you give up the full share range and the phone support
- Investing is not risk-free. My S&P 500 holding has had down years as well as up ones. That is normal for the stock market, but it is worth saying plainly
For me, the combination of a clean app and genuinely excellent phone support is why I have stayed for six to seven years and why I am happy to refer people to it.
Is AJ Bell Safe?
Yes, AJ Bell is a well-established and properly regulated UK platform, with the usual investment caveat.
AJ Bell Securities Limited (firm reference number 155593) and AJ Bell Management Limited (firm reference number 211468) are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. You can look both up on the FCA Register. AJ Bell is also a FTSE 250 listed company, which brings an extra layer of public scrutiny and reporting.
Your money and investments are protected up to £85,000 by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme if AJ Bell itself were to fail. Client money is held separately from the company's own money, as the rules require.
The important nuance: the FSCS protects you if the platform fails, not against your investments falling in value. If the S&P 500 has a bad year, that is market risk, and no compensation scheme covers it. That is simply the nature of investing, and it is why you should only invest money you can leave alone for the medium to long term.
AJ Bell is rated around 4.8 out of 5 on Trustpilot from over 4,000 reviews as of August 2026, which matches my own experience of the service.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there an AJ Bell referral code or promo code?
No. AJ Bell does not use a promo code or discount code. The offer works through a personal referral link instead. Use my link, open and fund an eligible account, and the £100 Amazon voucher is attached automatically.
How much is the AJ Bell sign up bonus?
It is a £100 Amazon.co.uk gift card for the new customer and a £100 Amazon.co.uk gift card for the referrer. Both sides get the same £100 as of August 2026.
Which accounts qualify for the £100 offer?
A SIPP, Stocks and shares ISA, Lifetime ISA or Dealing account all qualify as of August 2026, as long as you fund a combined £10,000 within 120 days. Check AJ Bell's terms before signing up in case the eligible accounts change.
Do I really need to invest £10,000?
Yes, the £10,000 is the qualifying threshold and it can include a transfer of an existing ISA or pension. If you are not planning to hold at least £10,000 with AJ Bell, this offer is not worth chasing.
How long does the £100 Amazon voucher take?
AJ Bell usually emails the gift cards within about 30 days of the funding requirement being met.
Can I qualify by transferring an existing ISA or pension?
Yes. Transfers count towards the £10,000. Check for exit fees or lost benefits with your current provider first, especially on older pensions.
Is AJ Bell safe?
Yes. AJ Bell is authorised and regulated by the FCA (firm reference numbers 155593 and 211468) and money is FSCS-protected up to £85,000 if the platform fails. That protection does not cover normal market losses.
Can I lose money with AJ Bell?
Yes. AJ Bell is an investment platform, so the value of your shares and funds can go down as well as up and you may get back less than you put in.
Can existing AJ Bell customers use a referral link?
No, the £100 offer is for new customers who have not held an account in the last 12 months. If you already have an account, you can refer friends with your own link and earn £100 each time one qualifies.
How does the AJ Bell refer a friend offer work?
You open a SIPP, Stocks and shares ISA, Lifetime ISA or Dealing account through a referral link and fund it with a combined £10,000 or more within 120 days. Once that is done, AJ Bell emails a £100 Amazon.co.uk gift card to both the new customer and the person who referred them, usually within about 30 days.
How do I refer a friend to AJ Bell?
Sign in to your AJ Bell account and take your personal referral link from AJ Bell's refer-a-friend page. Send it to someone who is opening an account anyway, and if they fund a combined £10,000 within 120 days you both receive £100. Full steps are in how to refer a friend to AJ Bell above.
Is there AJ Bell cashback?
Not in the cashback-site sense, because you are not spending money with AJ Bell, you are moving your own money into your own account. The £100 Amazon.co.uk gift card through refer-a-friend is the reward AJ Bell pays instead. Check AJ Bell's offers page for anything else it is running at the time you apply.
Does the person who refers me also get paid?
Yes. It is a two-sided offer, so I receive a £100 Amazon voucher when you open and fund an account through my link. It costs you nothing extra and you get the same £100 I do. I would rather say that plainly than bury it.
What are AJ Bell's fees?
As of August 2026, AJ Bell charges a 0.25% annual platform fee on funds, with the charge on shares, investment trusts and ETFs capped at £3.50 a month inside an ISA. Share deals are £5 and fund deals are £1.50. Fees change over time, so check AJ Bell's charges page for the current figures before you invest.
